Social Responsibility

Empowering Girls, Transforming Futures

At Positive Culture Ltd, our mission extends beyond the boardroom and the training room. While we help individuals and organisations flourish through the principles of positive psychology, we also believe in creating a broader societal impact. That’s why our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme is focused on one of the most effective ways to drive sustainable global development — educating girls in developing countries.

“Educating girls is the single most powerful investment for development.”
— Kofi Annan, Former Secretary-General of the United Nations

Why Educating Girls Matters

Educating girls is more than a moral imperative — it’s a proven economic strategy.

According to a study by the World Bank, each additional year of schooling for girls can increase their future earnings by 10–20% and significantly reduce the likelihood of child marriage and early motherhood (World Bank, 2018). Moreover, educated women are more likely to invest in their families and communities, creating a ripple effect of prosperity and wellbeing.

UNESCO also highlights that if all girls received 12 years of quality education, lifetime earnings for women could increase by $15 to $30 trillion globally (UNESCO, 2020). The United Nations notes that girls’ education is one of the most powerful tools for ending poverty — educated girls are healthier, have fewer children, earn more, and are more likely to send their own children to school.

Our Commitment: Supporting Girls' Education in Malawi

To bring this vision to life, Positive Culture directly supports the education of girls in Malawi — a country where many girls still face challenges accessing and completing secondary education due to poverty, gender inequality, and early marriage.

Through our partnership with grassroots community organisations, we support girls like Gladys, a bright and determined student from rural Malawi. Gladys dreams of becoming a teacher — a goal she once thought impossible. But thanks to support from our CSR programme, she now attends secondary school with the resources she needs: books, uniforms, and school fees covered.

Gladys’s story is just one example of how small, sustained support can change the trajectory of a life, a family, and a community.

From Positive Psychology to Positive Impact

Our work in the business world centres on helping individuals and organisations flourish — and our CSR work carries that same ethos globally. We don’t just believe in empowering executives; we believe in empowering every individual, everywhere, to unlock their potential.

Educating girls doesn’t just change lives — it changes the world. And that’s why we’re proud to support this cause as part of our commitment to human flourishing and global wellbeing.
